Support for TPM 2.0 Devices in Windows

Hotfix for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

A hotfix is available that adds support for Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 devices in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. This hotfix enables the following features:

• Support for TPM 2.0 devices in the Windows operating system
• The ability to use TPM 2.0 devices for authentication and encryption
• The ability to manage TPM 2.0 devices using the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) interface

Installation Instructions

To install the hotfix, follow these steps:

1. Download the hotfix from the Microsoft Download Center: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49510
2. Run the hotfix installer.
3. Restart your computer.
