Quarterbacks and Wide Receivers Take Center Stage
The 2024 NFL Draft kicked off with a bang in Detroit, as offensive players dominated the first round. The Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers made the first major move, with the Bears trading up to select quarterback Caleb Williams from Southern Cal at No. 1 overall. The Panthers then used their newly acquired pick at No. 6 to select wide receiver Xavier Legette from South Carolina.
Defense Gets Some Love
Despite the offensive firepower on display, the defense also made its presence felt. The Baltimore Ravens selected Clemson cornerback Nate Wiggins with the No. 3 overall pick, becoming the first defensive player off the board. Wiggins is known for his exceptional speed and athleticism, and he is expected to make an immediate impact for the Ravens.
