Siakam Injury

Pascal Siakam Undergoes Successful Surgery on Torn Labrum

Raptors Forward Out for Remainder of Season

Surgery Performed on Friday

Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam underwent successful surgery on Friday to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, the team announced. Siakam injured his shoulder in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on May 8 and has been sidelined since. He is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

"Pascal underwent successful surgery today to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder," Raptors General Manager Bobby Webster said in a statement. "The surgery was performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles. Pascal is expected to make a full recovery and will begin rehabilitation immediately. We look forward to having him back on the court as soon as possible."

Siakam is a key part of the Raptors' young core and was averaging 22.8 points, 8.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game this season. His injury is a major blow to the Raptors, who are currently in contention for a playoff spot.

The Raptors will have to adjust their lineup without Siakam, but they have some talented players who can step up in his absence. OG Anunoby, Gary Trent Jr. and Scottie Barnes are all capable of scoring and creating offense, and Khem Birch is a solid rebounder and defender.

The Raptors will hope to make a deep playoff run this season, but they will have to do it without one of their best players. Siakam's injury is a setback, but the Raptors have the talent and depth to overcome it.
