Champions League: Bayern Munich Edges Arsenal 3-2 on Aggregate

Joshua Kimmich's Header Secures Victory

WEB Arsenal were unable to reply after Bayern's opener and were knocked out of the Champions League A bullet header from Joshua Kimmich. The Gunners fought hard but ultimately found themselves on the wrong end of a 3-2 aggregate defeat to the German giants.

WEB Arsenal and Bayern Munich traded blows in a pulsating 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium to leave their Champions League quarter-final finely. Bukayo Saka and Robert Lewandowski scored stunning goals in the first leg, but neither side could find a breakthrough in a tense and cagey second leg.

Joshua Kimmich scored the only goal of the second leg in the 63rd minute, heading home from a corner to give Bayern Munich a crucial away goal. Arsenal pushed hard for an equalizer but were unable to find a way past the well-organized Bayern defense.

The result means that Bayern Munich progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they will face either Real Madrid or Liverpool. Arsenal's European campaign is over for another season, but they can take pride in their performance against one of the strongest teams in the world.
