Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior is a 1981 Australian post-apocalyptic dystopian action film directed by George Miller. It was released internationally as Mad Max 2, while in the United States, it was titled The Road Warrior. The film stars Mel Gibson, Bruce Spence, Michael Preston, and Max Phipps.

Released in the wake of the success of the original Mad Max film, The Road Warrior follows Max Rockatansky, a former police officer living in a lawless wasteland. Max's journey takes him into conflict with a ruthless motorcycle gang led by Humungus.
